Radiant Resilience Support Group

  • Strawberry Moon Birth & Wellness (map)

If you’re experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety and seeking a supportive community during these isolating times, please consider joining our next Radiant Resilience Support Group at my office in Frewsburg, NY. We’ll gather every Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm for six consecutive weeks—from April 2nd to May 7th. I know firsthand how challenging this journey can be, and it’s so important that we come together to support one another through the ups and downs of parenthood.

During our sessions, we’ll explore topics such as coping strategies, self-care, setting expectations, questions to ask your provider about medication, communicating with your partner, and fostering a connection with your baby despite the challenges. Our aim is to provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can process your feelings and experiences. Every parent dealing with prenatal depression or anxiety is also welcome.

To sign up, please email Carrissa Smith at doula@strawberrymoonbirth.com. Once you’re registered, you’ll receive an outline, weekly articles, and additional information—including the group guidelines and consent form—to help us get started smoothly on the day of our meeting. I look forward to connecting with you and your little one!

If you’re unable to join us, I encourage you to review the Radiant Resilience Handouts—a free resource available to anyone. You might also find valuable support and information through Postpartum Support International. Remember, you are not alone. There is hope, and with the right support, you will feel better.

Support Group Guidelines

  1. Everything shared in this group is confidential.

  2. Please do not disclose the names or personal stories of anyone in the group.

  3. We share our feelings and experiences authentically—there is no right or wrong way to express yourself.

  4. Each individual is responsible for their own well-being during the meeting; feel free to step out or take a break as needed.

  5. Your presence is valuable and can be a source of healing for others. Speaking is optional—listening is equally powerful.

  6. When sharing, use “I” statements to focus on your own feelings and experiences rather than generalizations.

  7. Avoid trying to solve others’ problems; instead, learn from each other’s experiences to support your own journey.

  8. When someone is speaking, please listen actively without interrupting—only one person should speak at a time.

  9. While sharing ideas is beneficial, please refrain from giving unsolicited advice. No one is an expert on another’s personal experience.

  10. The stories shared here are gifts to everyone. Please don’t press for additional details beyond what is offered.

  11. Moments of silence are welcome as times for reflection—there’s no pressure to fill the space.

Each session is divided into two parts: first, an opportunity for everyone to share their experiences and feelings, and second, a psychoeducational segment followed by an open discussion to reflect on the insights gained.

We hope you’ll join us on this journey toward healing and connection.
